“The bottom line is results. Everything else is rhetoric” – Some dude off twitter.

I suck. I mean I really suck.
I had recently seen this quote on twitter and couldn’t help but to look inwardly, and get depressed for a fleeting moment. How many great ideas have I had in my life? How many times have I called everyone I knew and sold them on this or that idea. And then one of your close friends hit you with that dose of reality that you hate and they say, “Well, do it.” You immediately call them a hater. Because you want them to dream with you. If you would’ve asked me at the time, that particular idea was gonna change the world, and I would have assured you that there was no way it was NOT gonna get off the ground.
But the bottom line is results. It’s really the only thing that matters.
My biggest fear is that I’ll be the old man in front of the bodega on the milk crate talking about “I could have been the next bobby brown” or, “If I had another chance I could have been the second black President” Whatever it is, it’s worth nothing if nothing has been created. It’s all rhetoric.
